Title: Watch the Stars Author: mercury_rose Rating: PG Summary: Eight people mourn Bellatrix Lestrange on the day of her funeral. One-shot. Word Count: 2,257
I quite like this - you never forget how intense, how unhinged Bellatrix was, and it's so interesting to see her through the eyes of these sane characters, on the good-evil spectrum. Another wonderful job! :)
What a lovely piece. Each person's story flows so well into the next, and the poem that forms the title of each unites them perfectly.
I was surprised to see Neville included among the rest, but it makes sense and reminds me of why I loved The Deathly Hallows so much- we got to see Neville grow, and you definitely demonstrated this.
Neville, Draco, and Rodolphus' scenes were my favorites. All of the scenes were very believable, but I think these were by far the most striking.
Thanks! Neville is awesome, and I was really really really happy with his development in DH also (the guy's a badass, no denying it!) and I'm glad that his scene (and character growth) worked in the fic. Thanks again!
I liked your story but I think some things could be better. 1.Bellatrix was a murderess, the evilest person after Voldemort! How on earth did you think the MINISTER would speak at her funeral and say "She will never leave in spirit "???.The magical community really wanted her spirit to leave,so that they could forget the past! 2.Would Neville ever go to her funeral??? 3.A MOTHER CAN'T FORGIVE THE PERSON WHO KILLED HER OWN CHILD,NO MATTER WHO THAT PERSON IS!!!And especially Andromeda....how could she cry about the woman who killed a few days ago her daughter, even if she was her sister?
Thanks for the review, and you brought up some really interesting points! I'd like to address them and explain my reasoning - hopefully even if you don't agree, you'll see where I was coming from.
1) Well, you could see this one of two ways - either that Narcissa paid him a lot of money to say those things, or that, you know, the Wizarding community wanted to mourn all of its losses, not just the Order. I think that both seem equally plausible, especially if the rebuilding would try to change the way the Wizarding world works and try and create unity - which would mean mourning losses on both sides

Congratulations on your award nomination! This is fascinating, especially that your Neville attended and Andromeda is perfection! It really brings a good close on the piece.
