What's up Wayne kids?

Hey guys- for my Jersey culture class, I have to write a term paper on Wayne. So give me your thoughts, experiences, etc. about living in/growing up in Wayne. It doesn't have to be much, just anything- a story or something that you think really signifies "Wayne". Thanks so much, and sorry if you got this email too.

I always admired wayne, and i remember how when i was in 7th or 8th grade everyone would have on their AOL profiles under location something like "*~~DrAmA ToWn~~*" and as i grew up and got into highschool, I'd realized that despite the so-called "drama" Wayne is the perfect place to live and grow up. Despite our snobby, materialistic ways, most teenagers that move on and go to college comes back to wayne and somehow miss it. Whether it be because of our Notorious hockey and football games or because of "club dunkin/preakness" its those memories that make us so different and that when set out into our future, its what we, as teenagers, will always remember. We are The Wayneians, and no other town can replace it.

Growing up I couldn't wait to leave. I went away to college just to get out of my town, let alone my state. Once I was out though, I realized everything I’d come to expect from life was sitting back in my home town. From not knowing how to get around, to the horrible drivers, to the over abundance of illegal immigrants, Danbury, CT is just not someplace I can be comfortable in. After all those years of trying to get away, I finally did, and now I just want to go back. Wayne is my home and will be forever. I was born and raised there, and no matter how many new homes go up, no matter how many changes are made, it will always be special to me, it will always be home.

I decided really early on that I wanted to leave New Jersey to go to college, mainly because I felt like I had so many connections to New York to New England that it would be a waste to stay in NJ. But I realize now that my strongest connection is to Wayne. That town is where I've done pretty much all my growing up, and I've spent most of my life there. As much as it may be "materialistic" or "snobby," I do love a lot of people there, and I'm so glad I spent as much time there as I did. It will always be my home.

Its all about parking lots love, we "Wayne(rs)" flock to them for no reason.

Perfect example, the now defunked "Club Preakness"

I guess it is just in our blood.
