For weeks I have been dreaming of something I saw on Smitten Kitchen... thick toasted bread, soft goat cheese, and chives topped with fluffy scrambled eggs. I'm working early at Starbucks all this week and all I could think about was making breakfast instead. Sigh ( Read more... )

So, I was high one night (lawl, I love being able to say that before I start a story these days) with V, and we were all, "OMG MUST MAKE SNACK NOW." Did some scrounging and I ended up cutting some thick slices of bread, spread on a little goat cheese I'd found in the fridge, and then topped it off with some organic raspberry preserves. OMGOMNOMNOMSOGOOD.

But dude, your idea sounds amazing. I am totally going to try it. Did you put anything in the eggs? My male parental unit usually throws in half&half to make 'em extra fluffy, and then a little cheese. Any special kind of bread?

I put in some milk and cracked black pepper in the eggs for the fluffiness. I used soft, not pre-sliced sourdough because I wanted to be able to cut my own thick slices. It was DELICIOUS.
