Treating myself to a little R&R tomorrow with my son. We're heading down to the Comicon (That's how they're spelling it.) in Seattle.
Captain James T. Kirk will be attending. AWESOME! If I'm patient, and wait in line; I could finally meet my first big crush.

It was a great con! Smaller than San Diego and yet it was satisfying nonetheless.
The line for the photo op with Shatner was five hours long!!!! Five hours with a 12 year old kid?!?! Not gonna happen! He might have done it for Sulu...my son loves GT - perhaps because he plays parts in some of his PC games.
Meh! We decided to go for the autograph instead. We timed it rather nicely and only waited about 20 minutes in line. As he finished signing the SEVENTY DOLLAR photo for my son, I said, "Thank you Mr. Shatner". I wanted to tell him he was my first and longest crush...blah blah blah...
I bet he hears lame stuff like that all day long. I controlled myself and kept it simple. Ok, I did use my "soft, throaty voice". Just a touch of it. Acting! LOL.
He raised his head, looked up from the table and looked directly into my eyes and smiled from ear to ear. Victory is mine! That made the whole purchase worthwhile!

I bet it was totally worth it, but how is a photo 70 bucks???
