So I suppose I should preface with the most exciting news; I have Labor Day off, and, as such, my previous statement was wrong - I do have one day off before Thanksgiving.  Huzzah

I think I may ask Meghan for a good/relavant book on kingship to play with. It is, after all "Ancient and Medieval Political Theory".

If she hasn't mentioned it yet, I can already tell you at least part of what she'll recommend: Kantorowicz, The King's Two Bodies: A Study in Medieval Political Theology. I think his Laudes Regiae looks pretty interesting.
