I agree with Rachel, Teaspoon did wrong lying to Lou about his date with the woman.
Emma and Sam are right, that disastrous blind date happened years before, Teaspoon himself wasn't convinced by the arrangement and Lou was still Young and upset because of what happened with Boggs.
This time Teaspoon is really interested in Rachel and I think it would be more honest to tell Lou that he met a woman who really, really liked and he's trying to understand if their story is important or not, rather than have Rachel dropping in Lou's life as Teaspoon's fianceè/girlfriend/significant other all of a sudden.

Yes, you're right. Lou might not understand why Teaspoon is hiding Rachel from her. Teaspoon means well because she loves her a lot and doesn't want to upset her unnecessarily.
Thanks a lot!!!

I have to agree that Teaspoon's making a mistake here. If Lou finds out he is lying to her, then it will only make any insecurity she has about his dating, that much worse. I'm not sure why Lou is upset by his dating someone else, but whatever the reason, Teaspoon can't reassure her if she thinks he will lie to keep her from being 'upset'. Whatever he says to reassure her, she won't believe it. Also, even aside from whatever problems she has with him dating, just in general it's hard to teach our children to be honest when we are dishonest ourselves. I think Teaspoon should work a little bit harder to find out whether Lou is still so insecure/opposed to his dating, and if so, why, and figure out how to address that - - before even starting a relationship. What if he gets serious about Rachel, and then they feel they need to tell Lou, and she flips out over it? Where will that leave his relationship with Rachel? No, I think the best approach would be honesty: tell Lou that he is thinking about dating again and would like to know ( ... )

Hi Ellie! How are you?
Thanks for your comment. You are absolutely right in your opinions about Teaspoon and the way he is dealing with his relationship with Rachel and Lou. I will address several things you mention in future chapters. As for the reason why Lou doesn't want him to date anyone, it will also be explained. I think that it is really the dating in itself that bothers Lou, but the idea that a new woman in Teaspoon's life will shake her personal situation. Besides, she is kind of possessive of Teaspoon, so in a way she might be jealous of the attention Teaspoon might devote to someone else.

Thanks a lot!!!

Sorry for the delay in my response . I am enjoying the story. Louise dose have security issues, certainly not a surprise given what life has been like for her. Teaspoon keeping the new relationship from her will only feed that insecurity.

Don't worry about the delay, Kim. I'm glad to see you around. This has been very quiet lately. I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Lou's insecure, and you're right, it's hardly surprising after the life she has got to live. Thanks a lot
