Yes, I think Teaspoon is too optimistic, and since so far Lou has been an easy-going child, he thinks she won't make any trouble and will accept Rachel straight away. Lou is at a delicate age, and since she's had Teaspoon for herself most of her life, she is more than reluctant to accept a woman that threatens life as she knows it. Even if what Rachel will bring is good, change is never easy to accept. Don't worry; Lou will eventually accept Rachel, but it'll take some time.
