So the person, the one that had just come here, had managed to find their way reasonably well to the Board offices. Good, it meant that they were not getting an imbecile, rather someone with intelligence.
Or at least someone who could follow directions.
At the knocks, Rufus looked up from the work he had been doing, and shoved it away into their respective folders as he called out. "Come in."
And so he entered. Pushing open the door and striding in, left hand as always on the hilt of Masamune, stopping short as he recognised the person in front of him. That was.. impossible.. Rufus.. he was only a small child the last time he had seen Him. Had so much time passed? What was he doing here? He was supposed to be in charge of Shin-ra now.
"...." He stopped a few feet short of actually approaching the man, keeping a respectful distance as he always had done for the President before Rufus.
"This explains things..." His voice soft as ever, no hint of the confusion racing through his mind.
Rufus' eyes widened at the sight of Sephiroth, Sephiroth, walking into his office. He quickly stood up, and much to his later chagrin, noticed that he still was shorter then him. And when he was younger, always hoping for that growth spurt...
"This does explain things," he finally managed to say, raising his chin a bit as he looked at the man. The Silver-haired General...well, he had gone insane in the end, but still...
He didn't look that much different then when he last saw him when he was younger. "Please, have a seat,"
"As you wish... Sir." The final word thrown in only because the other held a position of higher authority than Sephiroth, only because he was currently within the others working place.
Calmly he sat down opposite Rufus, his eyes flickering steadily as he regarded the new president.

"So it was you who told me to come. I see."
