Job hazards or inspiration?

When I first transitioned from corporate life to theatre education, conversations with friends and family were filled with anecdotes and impersonations of hilarious kids I interacted with by day. There is no training for responding to urine emergencies. Poor things.

You know, now that you've mentioned it, I've noticed that stories about school children have indeed dwindled as of recent. Perhaps something that comes with the job.

Yeah, I hope I'm not losing interest in their stories - they do still crack me up. Maybe it's stimulation overload. I interact with so many different groups in a day, maybe I can't keep 'em straight. Ooo! I do have a good one for when we speak next...remind me to tell you about the "French Lumberjacks" my students improvised as!

Great stories :) I coudn't stop laughing and recollected my old school days. Thanks to God, all school is over long ago. It's only funny to recollect but no fun to run into these situations :))

I think I should add teaching to my interests. Then we would have TWO common interests so far (teaching and getting over the cold). I've been working as a teacher in private school of computer science (13-18 y.o. students).

I hope your 13 - 18 year olds did not have probably holding their bladders! Social question: were most of your computer students boys?

No they didn't :) However there were a lot of behaviour issues, besides the education itself. If I had a brand new group, I could usually maintain the right behaviour, and we had a good and productive time. But they were already spoilt, noisy and acquainted with each other, - it was hard. I remember the very beginning of my teaching, I had an older group and some students where older than me. But fortunately they didn't know about it ( ... )
