aggghhhh brand new + kevin devine + manchester orchestra played last night. it was the last show the 3 bands were playing together and i think it may very well have been the most ridiculous show i've ever been to. all three bands played together at different parts of the show, at certain times there were 8+ people playing some variation of drums, kevin devine danced around in a fuzzy bear hat, they sang the fresh prince of bel air theme song and covered neutral milk hotel's "holland, 1945," all three drum kits were destroyed at the end, and jesse has a very pirate-like moustache. i am actually still recuperating mentally from the madness so enjoy!

i've heard that cover of holland 1945 and yeah, it's totally incredible. i was so mad kevin dropped the tour the very day before i attended; then again i've seen kevin more than eight times so i guess i shouldn't be selfish (check out the youtube video of kevin & jesse playing 'trailer trash'; i'm totally in it!). but yeah the show was pretty much still amazing, musically, though i have nasty thoughts about the social connotations. and yeah, i LOVED that fuzzy bear hat.
