Belated birthday greetings!

Yesterday was missmurchison's birthday! I was out of pocket but sincerely hope that it was a good one. As a token of my undying gratitude for both her very fine fic and for inspiring me to write in the first place (shout out to haiku master Mr. M!), I wanted to do a sweet, romantic birthday photo shoot with doll!Spike and doll!Buffy.

These are always fun (you need even more birthdays to celebrate IMO) but trying to picture Spike's reaction to the Barbie-pink desk made me actually aspirate my soup. Hee!

And they have a kitty tying to convince them she needs to sleep on the bed-- nice touch!

September nearly killed me. So many birthdays! I guess we know what a lot of people give each other for Christmas, huh? ;)

I was so mad that I couldn't find the tiny Fisher-Price laptop that came with the dollhouse furniture; I wanted him to be sitting on the sofa surfing, but no luck. I'm glad that the desk seemed to work. Don't choke though, okay?

Petzi asked if that was Spike's bedtime snack. *lol* Terrible!

It ain't the angle. And frankly, her arms are freaking me out. When I was putting them on her today, I was like, "Come look! Buffy's got Man Hands!" (Of course, Smidge kinda does too, so maybe they were trying to heighten the action figure's authenticity. Have you noticed how they hardly ever do close-ups of Buffy's hands?) That still doesn't explain the biceps, though.

I'm glad it's not just me! Action Figure Buffy's arms and chest are a little disturbing. Is she on steroids or does she just pump a lot of iron?

*lol* Yep, Graduation Day Buffy is very, ah, defined. Graduation Day Faith's biceps look even bigger to me, and she has a tattoo. Maybe the enhanced buffness is a tribute to the stuntwomen who did that awesome fight scene. ;)
