I understand completely. My parentals cannot comprehend my desire to go "away" for college either. They say that I could go to ASU, live at home, have everything paid for, etc. This may sound like a good deal to some but to me it spells "dependancy" and "control". I have been told what to do for 17 and one-half years now and it's getting pretty darn old. In one year and a summer I'm going to get out. I think I've found my perfect college. At first I was all about Lyon but due to recent realizations I find that it would defeat my purpose entirely...therefore think I've decided on UCA honors college. You may want to give it a look or you may not. I just wanted to throw it out there for you. My parents keep hoping that once I go to Governor's School this summer that I'll realize that I need them and don't want to go away. Hehe. I have a feeling that when I come back I'll be quite used to being dependent and they'll get a rude awakening. One year and a summer, darling. We can do it.
