Hello, all. This is not turning out to be my day. I got my ACT scores back and my score went down 3 points.I just got a call from Steve and Barry's and according to the survey I filled out, they can't hire me ( Read more... )

Today excluded, very well. Summer agrees with me. I'm enjoying the relative peace before the storm (read: senior year).

Yeah, Steve and Barry's let me down, too. At least you got to take the survey. I didn't get a call back there cause, when I applied, everyone decided to apply.. Bitches.

blah on poopy pants test scores. i dont know how ACT scoring works. is 3 points a lot? actually, i dont know how SAT scores work either; i never took them. oh well, it is not the end of the world, as you know. dont let yourself get too bummed out over some numbers. in the grand scheme of things, it doesnt really matter.

but anyway, blah on the job, too. i dont know what stores you have in your area, but i always thought it would be good to work in a bookstore. nice and quiet. air conditioner-y. i dont know. seems cool. i can tell you one thing: dont work at a movie theatre. especially not in the summer.

umm...is there a hair salon or something like that that you can be a receptionist at? that might be good, too.

Quick rundown of the ACT:
It's scored 1-36, 36 being the best and most unattainable. Seeing as it's out of 36 points, there is alot of differene between, say, a 25 and a 28. As far as scoreds go, good starts around 21, really good around 25, great at around 28, and (nearly) free college (pretty much anywhere) around 32.

I pretty much went from a great to a really good, so it's not that big a deal, but I was wanting to go from a great to a free college...so yeah.

And as for jobs, I'm beginning the hardcore hunt after the 4th. Hitting the shoe stores first, haha.
