i know it might just sound like alot of bullshit, but please read all of what i wrote down there. it's pointless to accuse christians of being uneducated if you don't even take the time to educate yourself. i'm not trying to convince anybody of anything, i just think that way too many people bash religion when they don't understand it at all.
uh, i didn't call christians uneducated. i'm just pointing out how people like me and meddy (and well, all of princeton) get labeled these horrible things just because we don't think it's okay to let president bush do whatever he wants to the world because, hey, jesus told him to.
christians are cool, jews are cool, muslims are cool, buddhists are cool. as long as they don't push their beliefs on anybody else, and don't use their faith as an excuse for ignorance or cruelty.
your opinion is totally valid, dude. i didn't mean to offend you.

i know you said not to comment, but i think that in order to know what you believe, you have to really know what you don't believe too. not that i'm pretending to be the defender of christianity here... i know i've lost that somewhere on the way (y'know, i used to be alot like nic... well, not really like nic at all, but you know what i mean

Yeah, I never used to think about this stuff until I came here. I find myself questioning things a lot more recently, but when it really comes down to it God is right there next to Santa and the easter bunny. It's sort of something you outgrow when you learn about evolution, like realising that "Santa" is written in your mom's handwriting. Sin and Grace and all that stuff are pretty meaningless if there isn't a God or son of God to begin with. I agree that people can change and redeem themselves, but on this earth.
And for the last part. Wow I'd be pretty offended if I believed in a hell. But I guess those are the rules. It's like having a club in a treehouse that a guy named Bob creates. In order to get in you have to say "Bob is the best!!" and if you don't then Bob kicks you off the ladder to crash into the ground and break your arm. So then you find out that Bob really IS the best tree house builder. Did he really have to break your arm? You didn't know. Then you'd be like "What an asshole." Yeah, it's a beautiful tree house and

i'm not trying to break your fucking arm, i think you're totally missing the point of what i'm trying to say. i just thought you were making a judgement based on a misconception and i was trying to clear things up. as for the whole analogy thing, i must be missing something... when did anybody push you out of a treehouse, so to speak? nobody's trying to put you down... (at least i'm not.) sorry if you feel that way.
