Hey, Being open minded is a good thing in my opion because it allows you to enjoy and look futher. Like you said quality is more important . If it isn`t good ,it isn`t good.
I don't know if this flexibility in my pairings is a good trait or a bad one. Does it mean that I am open-minded? Or does it mean that I am not passionate enough to fully commit to one couple. What about 'both
( ... )
I was sort of thinking it was at least a little bit of both. You know that I am fairly obsessed with Sawyer. I like Sawyer/Kate and Sawyer/Jack (and Sawyer/Kate/Jack!), which all take advantage of my Sawyer love. I don't, however, have a problem with Jack/Kate if it's well-written. (And you would think that I would since Jack/Kate by itself wrecks all of my prefered arrangements.) I really dislike Charlie on the show, but I have even read a short Charlie/Claire vignette that I liked

You'll be very surprised if you happen to read some of D/M fics! Some are quite... sharp! I was shocked at the beginning, but I changed my mind, and if they are well written, I appreciate them a lot. (don't think too bad things about me, please!)
I don't know if I'm going to love the whole show (Lost) as it's far from my fave environments for a show, and I'm so sure I'm going to like Jack that I'm influenced by this feeling... anyway, I've never been much of a shipper, so I guess my name on your friends list is safe!!
I always promise I'm going to write you, but never find so much time to do it! I can only promise it will be great for me when I do it!
Ooh, back in time for fandom meta. *rubs hands together*
This is an interesting question, although de-friending anyone who doesn't agree with your ship is very excessive. I wouldn't have one LJ friend if I wanted them to have the exact same rare OTPs that I have (for some, I'm the *only* one in the lj interest list. Lmao!)
For me, the quality of the story/writing is the most important factor in whether I will like a story. For sure - if someone can realistically write a pairing while staying in-tune with canon it's (generally) fine with me.
Even my Michael/Nikita love has some give to it (although, they are still my OTP forever!) because I was able to read and enjoy a Nikita/Madeline story. But see here the Nikita/Madeline fic didn't veer towards creating a *real* relationship between the two of them - you don't see them declaring their love for each other and Nikita forgetting Michael. Which doesn't fit with canon, but I'll get back to that. That's where we'd have a problem, and maybe that's what that person was referring to

Ooh, back in time for fandom meta. *rubs hands together* I know I have said this already in more than one vacation, but I missed you (and this)! You haven't gone through a Gellman process or anything while you were gone, right? And, of course my response is too long. *grin* As I figure basically no one else is going to venture in here at this point, I'm just going to split it up rather than edit it further.
This is an interesting question... I'm glad you think so. What are the pairings that you are the only one listed for? (Oh, that reminds me. I so need to add Irina to my list of interests!)
Regarding the Madeline/Nikita story not disrupting canon... Fine, you caught me. So few people know LFN canon, that I figured I could get away with it. You're right... I liked it because it could be included on top of the Nikita/Michael relationship rather than instead of it. (And you so know that subtext is there!) The person was referring to the fact that the canon couple interfered with her prefered couple and anyone who
