basic
Name: Allison Crestmere.
Nickname(s): Al, Ali, Lis, Lissa, Lissie (and all other variations), but she usually just goes by Allison.
Codename: Magma.
Age: Seventeen [December 16].
Nationality: British/American.
mutation
Magma/Earth Manipulation: Allison has geo-thermal powers which allow her to control the movement of tectonic plates within limited areas, and project magma blasts to knock down a target. Allison's powers are linked to her emotions, and since she has not yet obtained complete control over them, losing her temper could unintentionally result in tectonic activity.
1Fire Manipulation: Allison can create flames and project blasts of heat that do not contain any molten rock. The flames cannot knock things over the way her magma blasts can, but they can be used without having to switch into magma form.
Magma Form: When using her magma powers, Allison's body shines with intense light and gives off tremendous heat. Her hair seems ablaze with fiery light. Neither her own heat nor heat from any other known source can burn or otherwise harm her.
NOTE: At the start of the game she only has control over fire. She has recently discovered her magma form through power training at the institute, but it is still very volatile. And yes, earthquakes still happen on the rare occasions that she loses it.
personality
Personality: Allison is a sweet, kind girl with a savior complex. Most of her life has been about putting other people before herself, and she won't be stopping any time in the near future. She is intelligent to the point where it becomes a social hindrance unless she is careful. Allison tries not to flaunt her priviledged upbringing and education, and succeeds for the most part. There are, however, certain types of people (usually the ones she finds to be horribly selfish or the ones who hurt the people she loves) who can reduce her to as petty and bitchy a state as any other teenage girl is capable of. Apart from these few exceptions though, Allison believes that people are inherently good, and will go out of her way to prove it.
Anyone with this great a life has to have a tragic flaw, and Allison is no different. She is competitive well beyond recklessness, and the people who want to see her fall can use this against her. She is physically incapable of backing down from a dare, even if it means going against the things she stands for. On a day to day basis, her competitiveness is productive - it allows her to strive in class for nothing less than perfection, and refuse to give up on people and situations that others have long since abandoned.
Among her peers, Allison is regarded as a mother hen of sorts. Her obvious helper tendencies make her a good listener and shoulder to cry on. She is a good person to come to for advice without fear of judgment. Allison is fiercely protective of her friends, and is not above confronting those who try to hurt them. And that is where her inability to step away gets her into real trouble.
Likes: Surprising people. Loyalty. Bad Boys. Good food. Chelsea FC.
Dislikes: Selfish people. Catty people. Being forced to change. Assholes.
background
Family: Patrick Crestmere and Lily Sinclair-Crestmere (parents).
History: Allison is the daughter of a British diplomat and an American heiress. Her parents were already into their forties by the time Allison was born, and while they gave their only daughter every luxury possible, the age difference always kept her distant from them. Her father was a kind man with a busy work life, and with the exception of the father-daughter annual vacation back to his home in England, Allison rarely saw him. Her mother was a woman of society who spent her time flitting from engagement to engagement, dragging her daughter along until she was old enough to put her foot down. With no cousins (at least on this side of the pond), Allison's friends were like her siblings, and she stayed within her tightly-knit circle of close friends for most of her school career.
Growing up, Allison's extra-curricular activities went across the board. Her father, on the weekends when he was home, pushed her towards character-building activities such as sports, while her mother wanted her to be more of a young lady and concentrate on dancing and gymnastics. Not wanting to dissapoint either, Allison stretched herself thin trying to excel in the things her parents loved. The pats on the back and proud smiles solidified her determination to make other people happy. To Allison, there was nothing more rewarding than the joy of making someone else's day.
By the time high-school rolled around, Allison was deeply involved in the local Red Cross Chapter and the Rotary club. She wasn't a cheerleader, she didn't date jocks, and she certainly wasn't the president of her class. The stack of honors classes on her schedule meant most of her friends were called nerds by most of the school, yet popularity seemed to find her nonetheless, mainly due to her financial status and looks. Allison lived a blessed life in every manner possible; the only time she saw the 'real' world was when she was out volunteering with one of her school's service clubs.
Allison's tenure at a regular high school, while smooth, was short-lived - her powers manifested halfway through her freshman year. She caught her best-friend's boyfriend cheating on her, and his flippant attitude made Allison lose her signature cool. According to official reports, the earthquake that she knew she caused measured a 5.4 on the Richter scale. While the cheating boyfriend never suspected anything, Allison knew better. Tensions regarding mutants were high across the country, and she knew registering as a mutant would be the end of her father's career. She was also smart enough to know that someone would out her if she stayed where she was. This was nothing compared to her worries about the damage she could cause if she wasn't careful.
Afraid of hurting the people she loved, Allison told her parents that she wanted to finish high school in a prestigious private school in Colorado. Her plan was to fall 'off the grid' somewhere between D.C. and Denver, and never be a danger to a family or friends again. She made as far as Southern Missouri before the X-Men found her. They convinced her that she was less of a danger to society if she could learn to control her new powers, and promised that they would help teach her how to.
Allison is now a junior at Xavier's Institute. She has a better grasp of what she can do with her powers, but they are nowhere near complete control yet.
physical
Height: Five foot six.
Weight: 120.
Hair: Blonde.
Eyes: Brown.
Appearance: Allison was always an understated and smart dresser. Her parents always provided her with designer clothing, but she made a point never to flaunt brand names. While not drop dead gorgeous or exotic, Allison’s beauty lies in its simplicity. She carries herself with the grace and propriety learned in an overpriced charm school (not that she’d ever admit to anything of the sort), but isn’t averse to getting her hands dirty. She loves to wear her long hair down when she can, and usually just pulls it into a simple ponytail for power and physical training. Allison’s speech is relatively free of an accent, except for the rare occasion on which her father’s influence slips through.
