Does anyone know of any good potions for getting rid of bruises and swelling? I had a little...accident...and now my hand is killing me. That's all for now as writing this is ridiculously painful.

Sorry, mate, all I know is a cooling spell to numb it for a short while, but I'd need to be there in person. The best potion I would know is just ice and water, but I'd imagine you're looking for something a bit more thorough.

I thought Barty was a top-notch potionmaker-- aren't you with him?

I suppose I'll try the cooling spell and see if Mrs. Crouch has any good potions books that could help me out. Thanks anyway.

It's best nonverbally, but the incantation is defrigescete- emphasis on the 'es'. Rather simple-- fluid wand motion around the object area, concentrate on cold. It should make a blue mist that fades into a cool air if you do it right. Granted, I don't know how well that'd work to do on yourself, especially if it's on your wand hand. Come to think, that might be totally useless.

Hmm...somehow I don't think your suggestion would be of much use. I have many a preventative suggestion as well, but few of them involve me.

Though this might be a little late, I have some lovely salve that I use for the boys. It's rather strong, and it works wonderfully.
