1. You think my brother's hott! But then, I think YOUR brother's pretty hot, so I guess we're even. 2. If you haven't yet, I challenge you to get really good at forehand in Ultimate Frisbee, because it's a highly useful skill. 3. blackandwhite (because that's the color(s) of penguins) 4. I like your willingness to try new things (like ultimate frisbee) and meet new people (like my brother). And also, you have really pretty hair. 5. I think Adam put me on the phone with you once, before I'd met you, when he was in Louisville last summer. 6. Leopard 7. What embarrassing stories can you tell me about Adam so that I can make fun of him?
Because for some reason at work I was thinking of the STAG senior skit, and then my iPod played "Chelsea Morning" which I think you said at some point reminded you of me? Or maybe that's just gleeful fictionalizing on my part because it is a fabulous song.
Also I am staying in the hotel where Daisy and Tom Buchanan's wedding was set. !
Where was Daisy and Tom Buchanan's wedding set? And I'm not entirely sure, but I think it might be "gleeful fictionalizing" there with the Joni. Anyway...
1. I remember you helped me pick out an outfit for Bogart's Battle of the Bands one night my senior year, when I was trying to woo Chris Grannen. 2. I challenge you to quit smoking. Young artistic deaths just aren't as "in" as they used to be. 3. Mauve 4. I like your smile-- it always seems so genuine. And I greatly admire your dramatic talents. 5. I don't have one first clear memory of you-- it's more like a montage of STAG events and shows. 6. Lemur 7. If you could have true love and happiness or supreme artistic achievement and success, which would you choose?
1. Yeah, that was one of the last times I got called overly rational... :) 2. I haven't had a cigarette solo in about ten weeks. (I've had two recently as social activities with friends, but with about a week between them.) Does that count? 7. This is not a new question for me, of course...right now I think I'll go with the latter just because I've been less recently disappointed by it.
1. At the most random times, I remember things you've said to me, like how you enjoy(ed) staring at chalkboards. Thinking of things you've said nearly always makes me smile fondly, and a bit wistfully. 2. I challenge you to tell the person you have a crush on that you have a crush on them. While sober. 3. Orange, or polka dot. 4. I am in awe of your self-discovery process, of how thoroughly it seems you have devoted yourself to figuring you out. And I love the way you get passionately into things, like holistic healing and Walden. It's always fun to talk to you about what you care about. 5. Before we were friends, you once walked on in me making out with your brother in your living room. That was awkward. 6. Koala. 7. I guess I haven't *always* wanted to ask you this, but where do you see yourself in five years? How about ten?
Your summers are full like a 300 lb. man at Ponderosa.

(Warning: You're on your own for fleshing out all the details of the following analogy.)
My dear, in the buffet line of your summer, I have but one piece of advice: get your money's worth! Have a light lunch; empty your bowels first; pace yourself; bring Ziploc bags and a big purse; toke up beforehand; go with friends; don't fill your plate (it's more satisfying if you have 5 or more dirty plates at the end); save room for the soft serve with bits of Butterfinger and rainbow sprinkles.
Oh, and I hope I get to be the baked potato of your July.
So does your comment, darlin. A gold star ANd two sporks, so you can eat with both hands at once.
1. I still can't believe we set Timmy up with her. What were we thinking? 2. I challenge you to find a job that treats you as well as you treat it. 3. Royal green 4. Your steadfast, compassionate support as a friend, to me and to others, always leaves me wowed. Thank you for that. 5. I first knew who you were when Rachel was snooping around Rob's email (they were still together, so it must have been 8th grade, and she had his password somehow), and saw that you had written him. I don't remember anything about what the email said, if (and I'm assuming she did) she read it to me. 6. Duckling 7. Do you sometimes think that you give more than you get in your relationships (not necessarily romantic) with people? If so, how do you feel about that?
1. Befuddled, slightly bitter thoughts. We were probably in a summer chocolate coma on your couch at the time, and therefore unaccountable for our actions/ideas.
7. I have thought/felt that I give more than I get. A few times, since I started having friends and getting with boys and such. However, that feeling is by no means representative of the relationships I have with certain awesome people, and I am utterly blessed to have the friends that I do.
And you know, I used to feel quite clearly about it. I used to think it was unfortunate, at best, and mostly not what I wanted. But for the first time I'm in a relationship ("not necessarily romantic"... haha, the sonofabitch.) where I'm getting some good thing(s) and am required/expected to give mostly nothing. And I realized that I don't like that at all.
