History:
Not much information is given about Holly's history. She was born a normal girl. Later, she enrolled in an academy in England known as Genetics UK and decided to become something called a Pandora-a genetically enhanced super soldier created for the purpose of fighting extra-dimensional aliens. Why she made this decision is unknown. Regardless of why, though, she excelled there, becoming the top student in her year.
At Genetics, she met and formed a partnership with Louis, a Limiter from the prestigious el Bridget family. Because the partnership between a Limiter and a Pandora is a very intimate thing, the two of them later became a couple. Though Holly felt something was off about him and his attachment to his younger sister, she became extremely attached to Louis as time passed.
A year or two after they formed their partnership, Louis's older sister, Violet el Bridget, invited him to come to a resort in Bali that she ran. He, of course, chose to bring Holly along with him. There, she met Satellizer el Bridget, the sister Louis had always seemed so invested in. At first, she brushed the meeting off as nothing, but later she came to suspect something was amiss when Louis disappeared into her room for several hours and came back "reeking of that woman."
Having assumed their relationship was something indecent and sexual, the following day she confronted Satellizer about it. Satellizer admitted that Louis had visited her...which prompted Holly to toss a glass of water on her and demand she stop visiting her brother. The confrontation was interrupted by Louis and Satellizer's Limiter, Kazuya Aoi, and cut short when Louis dragged Holly back to their shared hotel room. There, she confronted Louis about the situation...and that's when things went wrong.
Holly made the mistake of referring to Satellizer as a "disgusting" woman, which caused Louis to fly into a rage. He both physically and verbally abused her for her comment. Following this, he pinned her to a wall and had sex with her, revealing as he did so that he was only using her as a stand in for his sister; the scene is ambiguous, so it's difficult to tell whether or not this was rape.
This is the point I am taking her from.
Personality:
The first thing most people notice about Holly is that she doesn't smile. Outwardly, she is incredibly stoic and cold. She gives off an icy, uninterested sort of image, her expression hardly changing even when she is expressing some kind of emotion. It's hard to say why that is; it could be that she just doesn't see a reason to become emotionally invested in most things, or maybe that she's too aloof to feel it necessary to express her feelings in front of others. Either way, the result is the same: she approaches most things with an almost unsettling calm, rarely emoting or giving any clue as to what she might be thinking.
However, beneath that, she isn't stoic at all. Truth be told, she has quite a temper; she just tends to hide it behind her typical remoteness, her anger boiling just beneath the surface. At one point, she admits she can become too blinded by emotion to think clearly, and she has been shown to explode into furious yelling when she feels too overcome by her feelings. Much of her anger seems to be caused by her extreme jealousy and possessiveness; she admits openly that she wants and is willing to kill Satellizer for attracting the attentions of Louis, despite the fact that Satellizer does not reciprocate these feelings at all.
Despite being so possessive of Louis, though, she is also incredibly submissive to his desires, no matter how abusive his they may be. When he asks her, 'Who am I?" she replies with, "My master." No matter how he may abuse her, she stands by his side, desiring his companionship and attentions. She thinks herself nothing more than a dog that must remain loyal to its master and his will-in fact, that's what she says all Pandora are, mere dogs subject to the will of the military and the el Bridget family which controls it. She's not one to be swayed on this matter either; she flatly states that pretty words about justice do not impress her, instead clinging to her cynicism.
It's never explained why she behaves this way. It's possible that she's affection-starved and will accept any amount of cruelty in exchange for "table scraps." Alternately, it could be that she has rationalized Louis's abusive behavior as some kind of sign of affection or love; even after he beats, verbally abuses, and possibly rapes her, telling her she is worth no more to him than a single grain of sand as he does so, she stands by his side and gladly acts as his attack dog, trying to kill both Kazuya and Satellizer on command. Either way, her thinking has definitely given her a low sense of self-worth, and she is likely to flock to other abusers in Louis's stead while in the Gardens.
Abilities:
enhanced physical capabilities- Like all Pandora, Holly has enhanced physical abilities, including strength, endurance, and senses.
regeneration- Like all Pandora, Holly heals more quickly and more thoroughly than regular humans, making her extremely hard to kill.
volt weapon- Like all Pandora, Holly can materialize a weapon at will. Hers is a broadsword.
pandora mode- Like all Pandora, Holly is able to enter something known as "Pandora Mode," which strengthens her abilities as well as allows her to move within a "Freezing" zone. However, Pandora Mode can only be maintained for three minutes at a time; any longer, and she may be permanently damaged or even killed.
high-end skills- In the manga, Holly is shown to be skilled in the use of something called "Accel Turn," which increases her speed in short bursts. She can use as many as three Accel Turns in a row ("Triple Accel") with none of the usual lag interval between them. Being that she is the top student in her year, it is probable that she can also use the "Tempest Turn" technique, which creates temporary copies of the user, increasing attack output.
