I am indeed speaking of the deaths. From what I had gathered, they were part of a ritual.

Of course he failed. Obviously I knew he was going to fail. Put simply. I don't think he will try again since it will just end up failing every single time. Why? Because his mother doesn't love him.

Put simply he's not the greatest of masterminds at all. He's just there to cause a panic and to round out traumatizing events to get people to cry and moan in there self loathing.. ooo boohoohoo.. at least they didn't die a painful death.
