Got two job offers today. Pro/con lists to come for the perusal of the internets, but I think I know my choice.

Job the 1st is the one with a teeny tiny environmental toxicology company that I spoke about before. I've been in contact with the director of operations for months and months trying to arrange funding of the project. That came trough last week, and they were drafting me an offer, which leads to

OMG, everyone wants to make jobs for you! Sweeet. I'm sure the guy from #1 will understand about the whole not having to move thing. He must have known while the process was taking so long that there was a chance you'd find something else.

Yeah, these are good problems to have, yay!

I didn't expect to hear from Co. 2 in time to have the option (one of the people I met with basically gave the impression the HR shenanigans would be too slow), which made me kind of sad because I REALLY didn't want to move (LOL, best priorities, I has em). But I also almost hoped I'd hear "no thanks" which said person said he might be able to give me by this week, because I knew the first offer was being drafted and if they said I was just still in the running I probably couldn't wait if it was going to take weeks. But I didn't even imagine they liked me well enough or that it'd be possible to push it through so fast.

So, really, this is the best possible outcome, save if I'd heard about this job before the other had secured funding, and I wouldn't feel so kind of guilty. I know they'll understand the choice, but it'll be disappointing after working on the plan for so long. I wish now I had a similarly-qualified and jobless friend to lob their way!
