the slap heard around the world.... or at least in the OUaT fandom
Putting my 2 cents in. I do not believe Hook smacked her to be kind before he killed her. I believe it was from anger not mercy. I believe he would want to torture Rumpel with every detail of how much pain she was in before he took her life. Maybe I’m wrong, but even if it was a mercy smack ( *eyes roll* ), I’m not okay with it. At least ask the person if they want a painless death first and if yes then knock them out. Though I would still think getting knocked out would hurt on some level so how is it truly a painless death? I’m starting to ramble….. XD
I’ve silently been okay with everything Hook has done up till now. He’s a pirate for Pete’s sake and one out for bloodthirsty revenge at that, no flirting with blond buttkicking strangers was gonna change that, especially so soon. However I can’t get behind the slap. Man or woman it’s never okay to slap/punch. As victim of abuse I can’t express how much I view beatings as cowardly and pathetic. I also don’t like how Hook was made an abuser all of a sudden and he’s kind of a popular character with his devil may care, oddly charming personality. I just don’t like when characters that might be a favorite to young children to do this. I worry about it influencing young people. Though I hope that’s just me overacting/over worrying.
Thank goodness Regina stopped him before he went through with whatever he was planning.
