[Karkat hadn't been happy to finally get back to his pile of random shit to see that his computer had been taken. Although it is essentially useless now, that doesn't mean he wants people taking his stuff. So he sets off on a journey to find it, somewhat randomly stumbling upon Asato.]

Hey you. Nooksniffer. Have you seen my husktop around here somewhere?

[He follows the other up, annoyance writ on his face.]

I just want my husktop.

[He begins to sift through the other's stuff.]

[He lets Karkat look for the husktop, but keeps a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't end up ruining any of his more precious belongings. Not that he has many, but it's the principle of the thing.

In the meantime he points out a hole in the wall, almost big enough for him to fit his fist through.]

[Karkat gives him a deadpan look before continuing to search. Eventually he finds it, yanking it from the pile.]

[He just gives a slight shrug. He'd found the thing and had no idea what it was, so he took it home to see what it did. Whatever it was, it seemed like magic to him, so he figured maybe he could conjure up some proper-tasting food]

[Karkat eyes him for a second and then goes back to shifting through his stuff. He wants to make sure there's nothing else he recognizes that was taken from one of his friends.]

[He hangs his head a little, admittedly feeling pretty bad for taking the husktop; he just didn't think it belonged to anyone. Nevertheless he lets Karkat keep looking. If he were to get close to anything precious to him personally, he'd let him know very quickly. The rest of it, though, is mostly trinkets, shiny pebbles, a shoelace, and other assorted junk he intends to use in constructing his nest.]

[Karkat doesn't find anything of interest, and backs off after a minute of searching.]

It's called a husktop. And food is fair game, but personal possessions are off-limits. You already said you'd get pissed if I took your stuff, so why are you just taking everyone else's stuff?
