To be fair, Michael doesn't have as much against Raf as he does against the majority of people he meets. He hates his guts...but in a friendly way. He'll punch him...but not hard enough to break bones. That kind of connection. Not quite a friendship, but more than many people do get from him.
So hanging around in his apartment, drinking cake vodka? It's right up his alley. He stays a few paces ahead, leading the way to his apartment building where he's taken a room a few floors up.
