For the moment I'm content to sit here and see what they do. The release just went live last night, and I don't want to be jumping ship if they're willing to re-implement some of the features they took away and actually listen to their userbase for once. Some of it I think is perfectly adaptable; some of it, well, I'm not so sure about. If the game moves I'll go along with it, but I don't think we should be abandoning ship if we're not even sure it's really going to sink yet.

All right. Thank you for speaking up; we did put this up to find out how everyone felt, after all! We, too, are going to wait and gauge how the rest of the game feels about everything. We do not intend to make any hasty decisions!

(...Rather, we intend to make incoherently angry plurks and beat things up in MMOs. That's a better way of dealing with it.)

I'm right there with you on the angry plurks. But I pretty much only use LJ to RP; it's going to suck if I have to somehow move everything to a new site? But I would do it, if that's what everybody else was doing. I just want to make sure LJ is going to tell me to fuck off and plumb greater depths of shitty customer service before I flip them the bird, as it were.

Also I really have no suggestions on where to go, haha, I don't particularly like any of the alternatives out there but I've been told Dreamwidth can be re-worked to be easier to navigate, although I've always had trouble with it. So I guess there if anything.

I wouldn't be at all opposed to moving.

With the current custom comment workaround, I'm not completely opposed to staying, but I have good Internet, a relatively new computer, and can't post comments in the new style. I'm also opposed to doing much or anything to reward lj's disdain for their customers in this matter, or to assume that they aren't going to be rolling out more changes to change how most custom comment pages look.

All right! Can we get your opinions on where you would prefer to move, if we do indeed decide to shove off?

I'd prefer DW, but I'm flexible. (I also have 19 invites on DW for once those are needed again, if it's an issue.)

And apparently DW is working on comm imports. Which, in addition to being useful, I believe in rewarding people for listening to customers/potential customers.

For now I'm okay with seeing what happens as far as workarounds go. I just re-paid my accounts so idk how a move would affect that, but I do want to be able to take advantage of the money I spent *forever greedy...*

If we did move, DW would be preferred for me.

Okay. Thank you for telling us! :) That's three for DW, then, if we do move...

And we are sorry about the monies. :(

i don't really have a strong opinion either way ... yes, the changes are annoying and i'd prefer not having them, but i don't personally find them prohibitive in my rping? that said, i know there are some people who do find the new changes completely unusable, so ... i guess i'm cool with whatever everyone else wants to do, whether it's staying or going. i love dw but ij has its perks too (100 userpics, mostly).

in short, /latches onto meridian. :3

I think we should try to stick it out. They said they're working on a style that'll function like the old one, so maybe we should wait for that, if they won't give us back some of the functionality.

I'm...really, really adverse to moving, to be honest. As in, a game moving site has caused me to withdraw my app. Chances are that if Meridian moves, Enoch won't be going with it. :(

(Though who knows, I might give it a shot.)

Also on another note, has anyone tried sending a request to feedback? I got a response that...indicates I'm far from the only one, which is a good thing.

I want to hold out in the hope that they'll still listen to us.

I did send something to feedback. I also sent one to support, because I can't post comments at all from my computer. I got a response that said it had been a temporary issue they've fixed now. I told them it wasn't fixed.

Hopefully, an actual bug will get them to wake up.

I'm not going to call my request closed until we get a definitive yes or no on this.

Fair enough. We don't intend to do anything immediately - we want to hear from everyone first, and thank you for helping us with that!
