Ok, weather permitting, it looks like we're going to the Renaissance Festival this Sunday. It's the last day of the season. Who else is interested in going?

cmuckle and I are going to attempt to go to Sterling Renaissance Festival with the little man. This would be the furthest away from home we've driven him so we don't know how it will go. At one point in time the U.S. Army aired a commercial about joining the army being the hardest job you'll ever love. That's how I feel about motherhood.

I'm sitting here, watching my son sleep in my arms. He looks so peaceful. I'm totally amazed by him and I hope I always will be. Right now it takes so little to keep him content. Thank you to all the well wishers on Colin's birth. We are still at the hospital and will be going home tomorrow. Everyone is doing ok, although I am quite sore. Despite all my issues during pregnancy, Colin is ok with no major health problems (so far).

At about 8am, she took a shower and got sick to her stomach, after she return to the bed, they refitted all of her monitors and found that Colin's heartrate had dropped significantly, so they broke her water, and put a heartrate monitor directly on Colin's head. So we are finally checked into the hospital tonight. As predicted, I checked in to be induced tomorrow. We got here around 11 pm because they were so busy that we had to wait for space. Happy birthday to Brendan Michael! He was born at 11:30 last night to my sister and her husband. He weighed in at a hefty 8 lbs. 10 oz. According to my mom, everything went well. Nice birthday present for my sister, who turned 28 today. We shall be off to visit our new nephew sometime this afternoon. :)

So here's the latest in my pregnancy saga. As a child, I was told I had flat feet and was taken to a podiatrist, mostly because I complained constantly of foot and calf muscle pain. My parents had orthodics made for my shoes. I didn't exactly outgrow it, but as I grew, it became less of an issue. However my feet still hurt when I walk long ( Read more... )
