we've got to learn that none of us are superior to one another.

"You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else."

i love fight club, and i love existentialism.

i have a thourough belief that religion was started by the weak and powerless. those who were powerful would never want to create something that was all powerful over them. the depressed people needed something to live for. therefore they got somethign that would appreciate them no matter how fucked up they are, all you have to do is say some words to be redeemed and get off this hellhole into something greater. with that to look forward to, it would make days alot easier.

i know we are all put on earth for a reason, and thats cause our dads fucked our moms enough to get em pregnant. I don't believe in destiny, and any sort of divine intervention. atleast for now.

later.

you said "we've got to learn that none of us are superior to one another. "

that was the message I was subtly trying to send to our closed minded youth.

i got to thinking the other day...

What if our life we live is just God playing one giant video game, and he decides where we are born, how we live our life, and where we will end up in the end (heaven or hell)??

just some scattered thoughts, not totally collected...

are you kidding me?

I think youre the one that needs to open your mind. If thats what southern baptists teach you, than I dread to know what other things they taught you to lead you astray.

I do like how the very core man of the religion you challenge yourself against you also display as a great man for anyone to live thier life by.

But i do agree, Jesus, whether Son of God or just a man with philosophies, made a huge impact of followers and not a bad case to go with his arguement. The same to be said about the Bible and its morals (love love love all..to a degree, as we know).

"The majority of us seek to find purpose within ourselves to have a feeling of self-importance."
-Do we really seek in ourselves for self-importance? can you really say that all the desperate highschool girls wanting a boyfriend and loosing face in themselves are looking within themselves for something more? All the kids who jump onto the popularity banwagon and wish for something better with who theyre around...purpose in self? I could go on but i assume you get my point now.

I guess you miss-read that, or I wrote it badly. I meant that we wouldnt live without a purpose. A purpose for a girls life could be to have a boy friend.

Salt Shakers b_rad82 November 29 2005, 04:05:50 UTC
I got to thinking again the other day...

in the Bible it says in Matthew 5:13, "You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled by men."

Well I was thinking what if all we are is like a salt shaker to God, and he picks us up and uses us when, and where we are needed and then he sets us back down and leaves until he needs to use us again.

Just more scattered thoughts,

Peace Easy Stalker: B-rad #82

we are definetely here for Gods entertainment(assuming there is an almighty God) so yea -- we are kinda like his salt shaker to have fun with

btw-- If you didnt know, all salt does is kill(like if you dumb a huge ass pile of salt on one of those crop fields in wall, the whole field would die and become infertile) so maybe thats what we are to god.

You are definetely on the right track bradley, you are on to something good.

we should talk about this stuff in person, its easier to communicate that way
