I completely agree with most of this. Though there is one clarification that needs to be made: people are capable and willing to resolve conflict if and only if it is in their own self-benefit. Compulsively looking out for #1 is in the human nature.

I've had similar thoughts about those issues for a while and it is quite interesting to find a point of view so similar to mine.
