In Peacemillion’s lounge, later than she should be, Sally pretended to read, but was really indulging in her pastime - pilot watching - for they were a contradiction in teenage boy behavior; one minute cold and calculating, all business and war, and the next, sprawled over a chair watching a vid or playing competitive sports in the gym, and she the anthropologist sent among them to record their social interactions.

Carpe Diem had been a motto used down through the ages, Heero knew; watching his roommate, Preventer partner, basketball teammate, best friend (if adult males can call one another that without sounding like preteen girls), and all around guy Heero went to just to hang out with, Heero knew exactly what the spirit was behind the motto, and asked the question he’d only deliberated on before.

You know me well, Mermer ;D
Wanna know something cool? Actually, two somethings?
#1. I was going to ask for Heero and Duo but then decided that it was for you to decide (while knowing hoping that you'd give me Duo as well ;D)
#2. I did suggest 'day' because of the 'Carpe Diem' on your icon.
It made me smile to see you actually use it. Great minds getting inspirating from the innocent icon thinking alike :3

As the senator from the de facto L5 colony again railed his clan’s rights for funding and resources to rebuild, Relena stood abruptly, slamming a hand down on the table (waking the elderly advisor from his afternoon snooze), calling for an end to his ruminations, and wiping the dazed looks from most of the delegates’ eyes; that she agreed for the funding and even on a limited scope of resourcing didn’t mean she had to listen to the windbag pontificate his position further.

Shopping was a job best done in an efficient manner, with a list and plan on how best to be in and out as quickly as possible; Heero wasn’t sure if he was more startled by finding himself in the produce section thinking of nut bread or a cream pie while clutch a piece of fruit or the low-toned voice of one he knew well whispering in his ear that he had something better Heero could stroke if that’s what Heero wanted to do.
