“Heh, someone had sex last night,” Hilde cried out as she lay stretched out on the sofa, legs curled up beneath her. She was grinning like a Cheshire cat as Duo stumbled into the apartment around mid morning. “Oh god, you still have that sated look on your face.”

“I do?” Duo exclaimed, leaping to the nearest mirror. Then he turned to glare at Hilde, “I do not.”

“Ha! But I gotcha, didn’t I?” Hilde said, hopping off the sofa and elbowing Duo. “Come on, tell all. Like I told all when I hooked up with that circus lady. Or those closeted gays who were more interested in each other than me. Oh well. I like to watch as well.”

“You need to get laid,” Duo grinned.

“I know,” Hilde sighed before jumping excitedly again. “Was it dark and handsome? Or someone else?”

“Dark and handsome,” Duo mumbled. “Oh and he has a name, Heero.”

“How… trite,” Hilde said, tilting her head to one side as she mused Heero‘s name. “Seriously? His name is Heero?”

“Apparently,” Duo replied. “He showed up at work, looking hot despite the late hour, we talked and I said I would meet him outside. I finished work as quickly as I could and made my way out to meet him and the conversation progressed - ”

“Or didn’t, considering your hickeys,” Hilde said, giggling.

“And we made out way to his apartment and that’s pretty much it,” Duo finished, grinning.

Hilde sighed. “You’re always so close mouthed! Live a little.”

“You only say that because you want all the tiny, gritty details,” Duo pointed out. “And you want the gritty details because we’ve been sex dry for far too long.”

“True, that‘s why I need you to talk,” Hilde said sadly. “I miss circus lady…”

As a knock rang out through the entire apartment they both jumped and turned to look at the door. “Who could that be?” Hilde wondered as she made her way to the door. She opened it and then gasped, “Trowa?!”

“He’s back?” Quatre exclaimed. “He’s back,” he repeated. “When did he arrive in the city?”

Rachid shook his head. “I’m not sure. A few days ago, at the least. My people only discovered where he had stayed for a night three nights ago, but he left no address and no one remembered much about him. He paid with cash, no way to trace him.”

“Yeah, he knows how to stay hidden,” Quatre said, face breaking into a tense smile. “So, he hasn’t made… any attempts to contact me?”

“No,” Rachid said and he hated the way that Quatre’s shoulders slumped.

“I see,” Quatre said. “I suppose he still needs to stay low, and I’m,” Quatre smiled grimly, “Always in the spotlight.”

“Now isn’t the best time,” Rachid agreed. “After the club was raided.”

“Well, resume efforts to find him. I’m not letting Trowa escape again, this time. He’s left me too many times for me not to see that he loves the chase…” Quatre laughed at this, but the laugh seemed to be torn between bitterness and amusement.

“I’ll contract Yuy, should I?” Rachid asked, watching Quatre carefully.

“Sure,” Quatre murmured. “Heero will like this challenge. That and I’m sure he will love being a little bit more rough than necessary bringing Trowa after Trowa last skipped town. Evading Heero like it was second nature,” but Quatre was smiling as he said this.

“Understood,” Rachid said, as he exited. Perhaps this was just what Quatre needed, he thought, as he dialled Heero’s number.

Who sounded eerily… happy when he answered the phone. Rachid was too discreet to ask, of course.
