If you cannot attend but wish to honor his memory, he would have requested that you do something that he would have enjoyed. Merle_ was not one with strong ties to ritual or tradition.

We did this months ago, before we were even married.... but still..... I feel like it's a thing merle_ would have appreciated

After several years, I logged in to my old LJ account and found this. Merle was a joy to read, and felt like a dear friend. I have missed his written words, and now I find I cannot ever read them again. Sir, I have no words, and my heart is quite sad.
