Property taxes snuck up on me this year. Boo. Forgot about those. Anyone have $2500 they could give me? :)

Don't those usually get rolled into your mortgage? I find that it's a whole lot easier to budget for them if you pay a little bit every month rather than a large chunk at the end of the year...

But I agree with you. I hate it when things sneak up on me. Especially taxes.

Not always, I chose not to escrow my property tax into my mortgage so I could keep the money in my own savings account and accumulate interest on it throughout the year. It just caught me off guard :)

I get mIne rolled in. Easier for us. I can't seem to keep that much in savings.

I opted not to do that so I could keep the money in my savings account and have it accumulate interest. :) I have plenty of money, I just tend to forget about it over the year, so it catches me off guard.
