I still live!

I'm still here, lurking quietly. Haven't had much to talk about yet I've had so much going on. Went to ComicCon and had a blast. Christi and I were on vacation, no work for us! It seems to me that it all moves in cycles-- the bad times suck, but they make you really, really grateful for the good ones. You can only ever really know what life is like from inside your own head, but I know that hitting the lowest point in my life has really helped me appreciate how good it is just to have a job and be semi-settled for a bit.

ymmv, of course. But I do think that the chaos exists so that when there is order, you appreciate it. :D

Well, I don't mind the good and bad, it just seems the action-reaction correlation seems much... more diverse now?

It's like growing up that action A results in action B so my whole life, I've built around the concept that A->B. I understand occasionally A->C, and I can deal with that within reason... but it seems more recently, A->Q more frequently. It's certainly not the norm, but it's also certainly unlikely to be so common.

So it just leads me to believe A->Q was always an option, and I was simply naive growing up never having seen A->Q so building the basis of my life on A->B and occasionally A->C is hard when I have other "theorems" built on a foundation that could potentially be wrong.

Was that too geeky? Did that make sense?

I don't think I would use the term geeky for that.
