Just to figure out where I fall in the chain, will you be sending the transcripts to me for OE checking after betas send them to you?

I have all the spells from the 2 series using the subtitles on the DVDs. http://archaeologist-d.livejournal.com/tag/spells

I also have them in word. If you like, I can send them to you. I did try and translate but have no background in OE so it's okay at best and horrible at worst. I also have two that Shine told me the correct translations to. My email is dianethx@comcast.net

Thank you! That's awesome. :D

@lily_handmaiden, I checked and the subtitles I linked above also include the spells. I don't know how accurate they are or if they're exactly the same as the DVD subtitles, you'll have to compare. Can you work with that?

Hmm, I cannot open the subtitle files at all. What kind of program do I need to use?

I know that the subtitles on my first season DVD (which is Region 1, so there may be a difference) were often wildly inaccurate when it came to spells as far as I could tell.

Also, I cannot open the subtitle files. I have several text editors and none of them work. Can you either post them online or else tell me how to get them in text form?

Are you on a Mac? I tested them on Windows, with Editor, WordPad and Word and they all opened them. :/ I'll see what I can do!

Do I include the coming episodes? I would think not but just checking.

There's no need to transcribe the previews, no. :)

I'm so glad for all the questions! Definitely going to update the sample page soon. This is a learning experience for all of us. Soon we shall be pros! ;)

Are we only transcribing dialogue? I mean, should we also describe actions and scenes without dialogue?

Never mind, I saw the question/answer in the other post. Thanks! :)

Is this the post where we say whether it's gone to stage II? If not then sorry! But Excalibur has entered stage II :D

Ooh, that is great news! You're the first to finish, too. Congrats! :D

Would you like another episode to transcribe? I don't have a beta to assign you right now but I'm sure I could find a volunteer!

I'm the first? oh wow! I just hope I did it right, although I'm learning it's not as easy as it looks

I don't mind doing another episode :D (can it be one not as battle heavy as the last? I just described 3 battle scenes, trying to make them sound more interesting than the last!...i think you could tell I was running out of different words to replace strike and blow with. Why am i asking this, the show is full of fighting scenes!)

Awesome! I assigned you the next episode in line, Beauty and the Beast I. I don't remember much fighting in that part so I hope that's alright!
