Thank you for such a detailed post!!
What I'm getting out of these is that the play is generally well liked, as well as Colin's performance in it. Sure there's one mostly negative review as well as one that finds no faults in the production, as one would expect.
As a fan, I'll just say that I'm proud of Colin and that I wish him the best next!
Oh... and I loved how in the radio times article they called Colin a 'bulky man'!!!!!! <3

It will be very interesting to see what the reviews are like at the end of the summer when they've done the show 40 or 50 times in front of an audience. It will be a different production in some ways by then.

I kind of boggle a little that Colin is referred to as "bulky." Maybe my definition of bulky differs, I don't know, but to me Colin's been looking lean as a whip in his Ariel costume, even in his regular clothes (unless it's actually in reference to his height and the reviewer was expecting Ariel to be smaller in stature? *shrugs*).

Other than that, I'm so happy the play's been getting a number of good reviews and positive responses from critics.

Love the collection of adjectives describing his acting: poised, understated, acrobatic, childlike naïve, efficient, nimble, enchanting, enthralling, nymph like, smooth magic, honey-voiced, excellent comic timing, spellbinding, impressive, athletic, tall, graceful, calm-spirited, majestic, spellbinding, a hoot, tender,....

I am sure I have missed some.... on the whole - really impressive and brilliant!
