I've been having a weird day. It started in this vein before I even woke up this morning, as I was dreaming something of a cross between a debate tournament, a sci fi convention, and an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." This segued, as dreams do, into a pleasant chat with the owner of a lunch counter-style restaurant, in one corner of whatever
