I think the Impenetrable Forest was in Margam Park. I went on a walk there a while back, and it has a tangled forest with branches like that. And we know they filmed there!

Oh, excellent! Thank you for that! Can you give me a pointer for where I might find it when I finally get there myself...?

I'll try! The park has several marked walks. We were aiming to follow the Monastic Trail, but I think we lost track of it and ended up on the Pulpit Trail instead! It was on the hills to the north-west of the house. I'm sorry to be so vague. I'll consult my friends, and see if they can be more specific.

The Margam website mentions Doctor Who filming, with links to the DW locations website, so it might be worth getting in touch with them? They seem tv-friendly, so might know about Merlin filming in more detail.

Thanks for all your hard work on the site: it's great.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the directions. And that's great to know about the Margam people. I'll be sure to ask them for details.

And thank you again! Your kind words are much appreciated.

The grassy area with the trees and the steep grassy slope, where Morgana ambushes our heroes, is ringing vague bells for me... Can anyone help me out with that, like you all did last week?

I'm almost sure, it's Pierrefonds... between the wall to the football field and the ridge, where we used to watch. You know what I mean? :) I know they filmed there in June and September.
