There are those who claim that Cadbury Castle in Somerset was the site of King Arthur's Camelot. I've only seen Cadbury from a distance but it looks worth a visit for the views if nothing else. I love the shot of Glastonbury Tor. If it was once surrounded by water and marsh it must have looked very mystical from Cadbury. Many thanks for sharing :)

Thank you so much for your post and your lovely photos. This really does look like it's worth a visit. I will have to make time for an Arthurian Locations Trip of my own some time soon!

I agree with you that the forests and paths have more than a hint of Pierrefonds about them... What a lovely thing to feel those echoes between our various imaginings of the real Arthur!
