Marlene sighed and rolled on to her back, staring up at the red and gold canopy of her bed. It had not been a good week so far. She felt stupid and slow. Even though her team mates and friends tried to buoy her confidence, she still felt like she didn't deserve her spot on the team. She had ruined her potion again today and had fallen asleep in History of Magic and disrupting the whole class when she had landed head first on her desk with a loud bang.
She sat up and pulled a blood pop out of her bedside table, pulling the wrapper off and popping it into her mouth, before flopping back onto the bed with a large sigh.
