[mod post] New rule concerning adult content settings

As some of you may be aware, our community setting was changed to Explicit Adult Content, together with the settings of several other Merlin communities. This meant users under the age of 18 were not able to view the entries in the community. The LJ Abuse Prevention Team decided to flag the communities after they were reported by users. We, the mods, were not sent any warnings or notification of this, before or after the change. [Some more information can be found here.]

yelloerainboe , 1miracle and other mods have been in contact with the LJ team and the issue has been resolved. The setting here at merlinslash has been changed to Adult Concepts. This means members must be over the age of 14, and logged out users must confirm their ages before they are able to view the content of the community.

1miracle and I ask members who post NC-17 materials to set their community entries to Explicit Adult for the time being. [Example] We are still in contact with LJ to make sure this does not happen again, please bear with us.
