Your stuff is smazing Merls slways. I think therd are a lot less comments generally these days and at thisvtimevof year. I dont think prople usevlive journal likd thryvusrd to either. I jjow you post else where and still get a lot of love.
Your artvis jaw droppingly gorgeous its sometimes hard to find adjectives to describe it!
Well. A lot of love goes into fanart, as you know. Insecure artist waves. Also, I am afraid our fandom is slowly dying. So many other fandoms are nabbing our ppl. I don't want it to die. I need it. Drawing fanart is therapy. And I need it. *headdesks*
Wow! These are amazing! That first one of Colin is all kinds of brilliant. I think it must have been hard to pull off such a "skewed" pose. And the second one of ... Nathan? reading papers. Absolutely lovely. Beautiful colourwork! In all of them, of course, but that one particularly struck me. Then the third one of Nathan with the colours of nature becoming part of him. That evokes a sense of creepiness very suitable to the source. Bloody well done, mate! ♥
Thank you my darling! Hope all is well over there *tight hug* I do use reference pictures. The first one was from a photo shoot. Colin sitting in front of a mirror, and behind it. Colin studying his manuscript on the set of The Living and the Dead is another. But then I love playing around with colour palettes. Oil pastels are so rich in pigment, you can do crazy things with them. Or you can do more realistic. I love them. I have grown tired of drawing in pencil. There I feel like I have done what I can do. But I find great enjoyment in playing around with oil pastels. Have started to draw local landscape pics for my next showing
Your art is always beautiful - and there are more people coming to fandom every day. Merlin is back on BBC Iplayer! So I think you will find plenty of people viewing your gorgeous creations on A03. <3 You're right though, I don't think many people come to LJ any more :(

Keep doing what you love, other people come and go, just do it for yourself (easier said than done XD).
