So. I think I have a few hours to spare before I trapaise over to work possibly earlier than Tsunade-baba. And I must say, I'm kind of glad I managed to do most of what I sort of planned to do. Well, I did what I didn't list down, and didn't do a lot of what I did list down, but yeah, it works for me ( Read more... )

A slight aftertaste is pretty common for Tomato Noodle Chowder. M&M's take the edge off of it though. ♥ Mints work nice too.

I think, you can beat that cook Kiba-kun lives with in the "creative" category one day, Hime. *grin* I haven't seen him yet (what was his name?) though.

Maybe I should go into the profession of culinary arts!! It is slightly less deadly than International Super Spy. And I belieeeeeve that is Chouji.

Chouji...right. When I manage to get someone to replace me on the busier days, I'll have that kid teach me a little...cooking. You know. The stuff that Toushirou does with cabbages and leeks and cheese and cheap pasta.

If you can add any other kind of produce to the list, that would be great. And what day is the social worker coming?

That secretary (she's nice, and I think her name's Katarina) said to expect the hag over next weekend. THE WEEKEND of all things! The bar is bound to be busier than usual, and knowing her, she'd probably come by early in the morning.

By early I mean around seven. Will you have anything to do Saturday or Sunday next week? I think it would really do us good if we vacuum it when I get back.

...the door color should be alright, hmmm?

Nah, the only thing I'll be needing to do is work on my history paper, and I've got all the sources for that now.

. . . at least it partially hides all the gouges/holes. Maybe she'll think the owner's going to start cleaning up this place?

Just... tell me if I can help with anything, okay? And, er, feel free to rummage through the little bookstore in my wardrobe, okay? They're... well you know that a lot of them are poetry and fiction but maybe, you know, you'll need them.

God, this place needs a good run-down. I'll go and ask around the bar to see if anyone can replace me for a bit the day before so we can spend the whole Friday afternoon and evening, er, cleaning.

Thank you for your concern. I think I'll just keep my door shut and not emerge for a few days.

Oh, and I'll be buying groceries tomorrow. I'll probably be stocking up on fruits and everything since we'd want to leave a good impression on that social worker woman; if there's anything you want me to pick up for you, just say so.

I get the impression that you don't like this social worker for some reason... ^_~

Just some tea if you don't mind?

You should see her, especially the way she talks about how we live, Toushirou and I. I mean, just because his uniform's a bit faded, that doesn't mean he doesn't get a wash, eh? And she thinks bar waitress = strip dancer but you know what, I think she's just jealous, the old cow. JEALOUS. Hmmph.

On the other hand, don't see her. She'll make you feel WORSE. =_=;

Green tea then--you got it! And thank you for having Toushirou over, especially when I'm already out.

Sorry, Rangiku, but I already gave all four of the kittens away. I could look into picking up another one for you, if you want; the animal science labs on campus seem to be the dumping ground for all kinds of animals nobody wants to take care of.

People who'd do that are the ones that should get dumped--and disposed of--instead.

Do you want me to wait until after the social worker comes, though?

That's okay. If and when they show up, I'd love to have one. And it would be good to keep Toushirou company at night when he's alone and everything. I could NEVER stand the thought of dissecting cats.

Thanks Kiba; yes, waiting after that woman leaves the place is a good thing.

If there are other pressing matters, Matsumoto-san, don't trouble yourself over a few books for me.

Oh no, no, they're in here...somewhere... and I'm quite sure you will enjoy especially The Periodic Table. If you have time, I'll add in the Dostoyevsky one I have here too. Had me rethinking many of our taken-for-granted societal structures. :j It's not a problem at all.

The Periodic Table does indeed sound as though it would be of interest; I have, however, likely read the Dostoyevsky already. Perhaps you'd like to look through my meager collection of books sometime? You may appreciate Chaos; it's likely not your usual read.
