I understand where you're coming from, but I think for some people expressing their dislike of a movie so vocally is their way to invite conversation. If I had been in your position with Yana badmouthing a movie I really happen to like, I would have taken her talk about the movie as an open invitation to discussing our different points of views. She feels very strongly about it and could not understand why you felt differently, so I think she expressed herself more strongly than you would have liked not out of malice but as a sort of cheeky way of challenging you. I don't think she realized you would feel genuinely insulted.
You've pretty much hit the nail on the head with something that's been bothering me for ages. I'm REALLY sick of people having this attitude of, "if you like this book/movie/whatever that means you're stupid." I'm sure the internet has increased that attitude tenfold, given that people can say whatever they want and to them the stranger who likes whatever IS an idiot because all they know about that person is that he/she likes this or that
