wat i wrote a thing last night!

i'm posting it here because i'd like to keep it locked for now. it's mostly kara/laura, with kara/leoben and kara/helena but not in a rightship sort of way. other characters that show up: hmmm, kendra and lee.

warnings for: underage, sexual violence, general unhappiness, references to drug abuse

it's 4700 words.

I...am not sure what to do here. I want to flail and tell you how very many notes this struck, it was so pure it grabbed me by the throat and made me see Kara so clear it hurt. I jotted down phrases I adored:
I won’t talk about the kid because that’s her life, but me and Laura, I guess we called a truce after dealing with what was happening to the girl

this was one of those fics that came in a rush of pain and longing, with not much thought, and sometimes for kara, maybe that's just what's needed...sometimes i feel too close to her and the fic feels too close and everything's a bit TOO resonant...and then i get afraid when i put it out in the world that people won't "get" it or will think it's disgusting/foul (which in turn means they think I'M disgusting/foul)...so to hear your kind words, jesus, bb. means so much. i love that you always read and comment. just makes it all worthwhile.

oh, thank you, darling! i'm so glad you read! i LOVE that you picked out that line, because that was the line that started the whole fic. it just came to me, and everything else was written around it...and in a lot of ways it's the heart of things, so it makes me feel really glad that you picked up on that.
