I'm so ridiculously happy that you're writing these two again, and eeeeee, I've been wanting this for ages! Thank you!

She will not sprint to the carousel. Nope, nope, nope. She walks calmly. She walks like, whatever. She walks like, la-dee-dah, no fucks to be given here. It’s all very dignified. Normal, unexcited, chill walking-more of a patient stroll, really.

But then a few people step in front of her, presumably on their way to get bags, and as she weaves through them, she thinks vaguely about getting out her sidearm, because they are in her way, godsdamnit, and blocking Laura’s face.

This bit made me giggle, seriously.

I love protective Kara, and I love Laura jumping to the wrong conclusion and trying to be cool about it anyhow, and I love the two of them just being them.

Yay, glad you like it!

I'm so happy to be writing them again, too, because they seriously are like, my therapy. Without them I was going mad, literally, so it's good to have my babies back in my brain filling me with pleasant ficcy thoughts.

What a great continuation! It follows so nicely. I love Kara's attempt to play it cool. And I love 'trick or treat meme' day because I get to vicariously enjoy everyone's treats. Yay! :)

Mmmmm, yeah. It's so good to dip back into this world. I love the way this unfolds in waves, tightly wound at first then, slowly opening up, until everything feels lose and languid and right.

Er, most incoherent comment ever, but I don't have words for exactly how I experienced this so that'll have to do. Mostly, it was a lovely, comforting read.
