I just wrote an email to my team explaining why I quit. I can't believe I'm not playing soccer next year. I feel a little empty on the inside.

asher's father was hit by a truck and killed. it was a tragic accident and i'm so sorry for that loss. his mom gave the most beautiful eulogy; she was compassionate, calm, and articulate; three things that i'm not, even in normal situations. i admire her for being able to speak like that on such an occasion. the scariest part is that the situation ( Read more... )
