short term temp jobs advice?

i know a couple people at least on my flist have temp agency experience - and i know that temp jobs are just that - temporary - but i am looking for something for the next 5 weeks and thats it - is this something a temp agency would be ok with?

I would say not to tell the temp agency.
You can just give notice when your time is up and give whatever reason, or none when you want.

As a temp, it's their job to replace you :)

thanks - i called one and made an appointment for wed. we'll see how it goes, as i have no clerical work experience!

just frame the work experience you have as clerically related... play up your computer skillz, typing ability, etc... name all the computer programs you know how to use... etc. good luck with the appointment!

thanks - they know what my actual experience is and i have to bring a resume, but i get to take computer tests before my appt. to assess my capabilities - exciting ;}

Hahah, yea man they don't care if you only have 5 weeks, so don't sweat it at all. As long as you can type, and lift a receiver, I'm sure they'll love you. Just don't like about Excel skills beyond what you know, they'll test you on macros then, and trust me...no fun. There's one my friend worked for located in Century City. I'll ask her the name.
