Okay, wow...being from the MidWest, the Cali cost of living astounds me. Your rent is more than my monthly stipend. Please tell me yours is higher than mine. *cries in the corner*

yes, but thats for 2 bedrooms - so i pay half of that. my stipend is just a bit more than $1500/ mo for 8 months a year. its less than that for 2 mos. a year. and its non-existant for 2 mos. a year :(

also in the shopping plaza is an excellent video store with an amazing selection of previously viewed DVDs and boxsets at bargain prices! I make trips there all the time, though I live in a completely different part of the city.

Just thought I'd put another plus in there for potential renters.
