Week 19 - Monday Night - 1/5/04

Merry takes the bokken and the staff with her to Tommy Lee's room. She knocks on the door and preceeds to wait, looking at the weapons with admiration for Spin's work and Tommy Lee's thoughtfulness.

TL opens the door and smiles. "Hey Merry! How're you? C'mon in, and let's figure out where to start.."

Merry comes in and nods, "Yep. I've never used a weapon before, but I tumble and juggle."

TL grins and nods. "You've got a lot of coordination, that'll help. There's one basic rule to using a sword."

He pauses a moment an grins. "Grab the blunt end. Stick the pointy end in the other guy."

Merry can tell that Tommy Lee is not teasing her or treating her like someone stupid, its one of those humor things she is told is easier to pick up if you can hear the tone of voice. "Sort of like ballance beam, the point is to not fall off. So what are the basics?"
