Wasn't the trailer like a music video? So you can use your imagination to create the story you personally want to see. Once the dialog is added in everything is set in stone.
Yeah, and it has such a great track too. The dialog was pretty ham-fisted, it felt. But I think it's like that in all James Cameron movies. I thought about it and if I saw, say, Titanic only in clips like the Avatar preview, I would've thought it was gonna fail. Personally, I love that film, though... :P
Thanks for mentioning the motion stuttering in 3D. I'll know now to seek it out in 2D when it hits theatres (we did the same thing for Up -- the 3D motion stutter annoyed me to no end in Coraline. I wish they had fixed that problem before making 3D so widespread in theatres).
I will probably go see it when it comes out too, but I have a feeling my expectations are going to be waaay low. :P
It's probably best to go on with low expectations. And you'd think they'd be able to get rid of the stuttering. I was a little disappointed by that after all the hype that it was the best 3D ever seen. :P
I saw the trailer last night during a movie, and it looked really pretty and weird. I don't know anything about the film and didn't really understand what was going on in the trailer, but it got me very interested to say the least
